(WELCOME/THANK RF & MINISTRY TEAM)
>>>We love our academy! We love our community!
>>>NHA is a special place to me (student/teacher/youth pastor)
>>>Wanting to ask the question “Does NHA work?”
>>>Look at what the world is becoming. Look at what is happening to school systems. The world is messed up/broken.
*NHA is a good alternative-smaller school, Christian school, positive impact, etc.
*Maybe this could prepare me/my kids to go out and face the crazy and broken world.
>>>Same can be said outside Christian school-going to church, being a good kid/parent (church or not), holding on to “good morals”.
>>>But does this work? What does the Bible say?
Titus 3:3 “For we too were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.”
>>>Not very positive. It’s easy to describe others as foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to lusts/pleasures, full of envy, malice, and hate. But this points to us!
*The world is broken and messed up, and we are the ones who broke it! Our sin is why the world is so messed up.
>>>God created all of us with a perfect and sinless relationship with Him. But our sin broke that relationship.
>>>Our efforts to fix what is broken-trying to raise good kids, sending kids/going to Christian school, going to church, etc. all fall short because our sinful nature.
*No matter how “good” we may seem or “good things” we may do, getting mad can ruin it (fighting, divorce, murder).
>>>We cannot save ourselves.
Titus 3:4–5 “But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we did in righteousness, but in accordance with His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,”
>>>There is hope in the brokenness. The kindness of God reached down to save us.
>>>It’s not our good efforts. It’s His mercy. God sent His Son Jesus to die for our foolish, disobedient, enslaved, and hateful selves and rise again, so that we can be restored into a relationship with Him.
*Only then can we face the broken world around us.
(Testimony)
>>>There are people in this room trying to make up for their sin by raising good kids, making good grades, going to church/Christian school, but have not repented of their sinful nature and believed on Jesus for salvation, responding to God’ mercy.
>>>God loved you so much for this time/moment you can be restored into a relationship with Him!
